During the end of 2006 and start of 2007, it was obvious the limitations of the code base had been reached, and so development started on a completely new MVC framework.

New modules can be created easily, if you have knowledge of PHP5 OOP and a basic understanding of the MVC structure.

Due to the inherent modular nature of a MVC framework, this means the actual feature set of TangoCMS can be fine-tuned to specific needs, as modules can be disabled and enabled easily through the AdminCP.
