Albert Ogilvie

In 1919 he was elected to the House of Assembly for Division of Franklin, and retained the seat at each succeeding election.

Jim Bacon Foundation

The foundation is named after Jim Bacon, who spent 25 years working in the union movement, was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly and became Premier of Tasmania, a position he held from 1998 until his resignation in March 2004.


Australian Flag Society

In 2008 the AFS lobbied members of the Tasmanian parliament for a public inquiry to be held in response to a motion proposed by Denison Labor MHA Lisa Singh to have the Australian Aboriginal Flag stand in Parliament House, Hobart.
