In his later life, he was a founder and activist of many non-governmental organizations, including being the founder and first president of the Tatrzańskie Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe.
Registered on 29 October 1909 under its current name with Mariusz Zaruski as its first head and dr. Kazimierz Dłuski as the president of the TOPR Association.
