The 1997 Bank of the West Classic was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford, California in the United States that was part of Tier II of the 1997 WTA Tour.
In addition to hosting the Stanford Cardinal's men's and women's tennis teams, the 17-court facility is the home of the Bank of the West Classic, a WTA Tour event.
