Following his consulship, he was appointed Curator rei publicae Teanensiumca (around AD 197); this was followed by another curatorship, this time as Curator alvei Tiberis (or the official responsible for looking after the banks and channels of the Tiber River), around AD 198-200.

He was later expelled from Sora, again because of the Arians, after which he was appointed bishop of Teano in 346 in succession to Saint Paris.
He married on 17 September 1951 Lelia Calista Ada Caetani (b. 1913; d. 11 Jan 1977), painter and plantswoman, daughter of the noted composer Roffredo Caetani, 17th Duke of Sermoneta and 8th Prince of Teano (1871–1961), who was the last of her 1,000-year-old family line.
The two lines rejoined near the present railway station of Caianiello, and the road ran to Teanum and Cales, and so to Casilinum, where there was the crossing of the Volturnus and the junction with the Via Appia.
