In 2006, Bullfrog switched from rating their equipment for safety under Underwriters Laboratories (UL), and now uses the more internationally recognized German standards from Technischer Überwachungsverein (TÜV).
Its products are accredited by major international organizations including TUV and UL.
The car is also the only Proton model so far to be TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) Certified.
A safety cockpit was developed for the -c variant with additional glass, carbon and aramid reinforcements, following crash tests carried out in-house by Wolf Lemke anticipating later TÜV Rheinland crashworthiness recommendations.
