Goday Jugga Rao garu was a great promoter of Telugu literature and orthodox Hindu, he practiced 'Saptha Santhana' Seven good works of perpetuality.

Unfortunately, any Telugu literature prior to Nannaya is not available, except royal grants and decrees, though Telugu or Andhra language started to develop even before the Common Era.
He is the grandson of Sahitya Academy Award winning Telugu writer, Tripuraneni Gopichand, and great-grandson of revolutionary poet/reformer, Tripuraneni Ramaswamy, both of whose postage stamps were released by the Indian Government for their contribution to Telugu Literature.
