Terrytown was founded in 1949 by Terry Carpenter, a successful Scottsbluff businessman and a famous Nebraska state senator in the 1950s and 1960s.
Vic was one of the best, if not the best, boxer in this part of the country and, when he teamed with "Terrible Terry", Terry Carpenter as his manager, he fought many successful bouts.
