The Battle of Tettenhall (sometimes called the Battle of Wednesfield or Wōdnesfeld) took place, according to the Anglo Saxon Chronicle, near Tettenhall on 5 August 910.
He may have been ruler of Northumbria following Eowils and Halfdan who were killed at Tettenhall circa 910.
Designed in a Classical style by the brothers Richard and William Smith of Tettenhall, it is similar to the church at Whitchurch (Salop.) built by William to the designs of John Barker.
