Cearadactylus was featured in the Jurassic Park novel by Michael Crichton, in which they attack Alan Grant, Tim Murphy and Lex Murphy when they wander into the aviary.
As a working architect, he was associated with Maxwell Fry and Denys Lasdun before he started his own practice in 1960, working with The Earl of Snowdon and Frank Newby on the design of the Aviary at London Zoo (1961).
Besides Osterley House and Park, the district is also known for embracing one of the London residences of The Sultan of Brunei (The Aviary Farm in Windmill Lane).
