Afterwards he was invited to help with the Theatre Performance Degree Course at Aberystwyth University, where he helped with Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and Alarm Call.
In 1969 she was a cast member of The Caucasian Chalk Circle Strand Players production and they won the Esso Trophy at the all-Ireland drama festival held in Athlone, County Westmeath.
Under the name of Nukha, the city is the scene of much of the action in Brecht's play The Caucasian Chalk Circle.

The school's latest head of drama, Matthew Connor-Hemming, has directed five productions, Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle and four musicals, Oliver!, Calamity Jane, Les Misérables, and most recently, The Wizard of Oz.
Starting in 1976, Troegner was part of the theatre company Berliner Ensemble where she played in Brecht plays, e.g. Mother Courage and Her Children, The Threepenny Opera, The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
