Egan's son, John Brooke-Little, founded the Society of Heraldic Antiquaries (now known as The Heraldry Society) in 1947, and Egan became managing editor of its journal The Coat of Arms.
Heraldry Society of Great Britain (1947- ) - it publishes a newsletter (Heraldry Gazette) and a journal (The Coat of Arms).
It is operationally and constitutionally completely independent of The Heraldry Society.
