Mickey's Choo-Choo

The cartoon ends with an image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse riding a handcar (made from the chassis and a plank of wood from the freight car which came uncoupled accidentally when Mickey tried to push the train up the hill when it got stuck earlier in the film) into the sunset, which inspired a famous toy version, manufactured by the Lionel Corporation.

Mount Chauve

The name is descriptive of the hill's denuded aspect, evoking the celebrated musical score Night on Bald Mountain, "chauve" being a French word for bald.

Mynydd Eglwysilan

Like neighbouring Cefn Eglwysilan, the hill is named after the hamlet of Eglwysilan 4km to the southwest, the church here being dedicated to an obscure Saint Ilan.

Mynydd Llangatwg

The rock was removed by means of a series of tramroads or tramways which linked north via steep inclines to a wharf on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at Llangattock and south to Brynmawr and the ironworks at Nant-y-glo by two tramroads which contoured the eastern end of the hill.
