Clayton, West Sussex

Katie Johnson, an actress best known for her acclaimed performance as the elderly Mrs Wilberforce in the 1955 film The Ladykillers, was born here in 1878.

Eileen Ascroft

Her first husband was celebrated filmmaker, Alexander Mackendrick, who produced Whisky Galore, The Ladykillers and A High Wind in Jamaica among other projects.

Nappy Roots

In 2004 they were also featured on three songs for the movie soundtrack to The Ladykillers starring Tom Hanks that was released on Sony Music.

Reginald Mount

Mount also designed the cinema poster for the British comedy film The Ladykillers.
