Geringer is a character in the play The Laramie Project, about the Matthew Shepard murder and trial, which was a major news event while he was Governor.

In 2005, GGP began including more experimental fare, including productions of Lee Blessing's Eleemosanary and Moisés Kaufman's The Laramie Project.
The series concluded in 2010 with productions of The Laramie Project and Breaking the Code, though historical/biographical work (such as Inherit the Wind and The Normal Heart) have continued to be featured.
Through their approach to theater and attention received from The Laramie Project, No Fog West's board of directors met with theater professionals from around the country, including Philip Himberg from Sundance Theater and Nancy Borgenicht, co-creater of Saturday's Voyeur, who guided them in the planning of their second production, a summer 2008 tour of Talking to Terrorists by Robin Soans.
