Drowningman

Formed in the fall of 1995 by Simon Brody, Denny Donovan, Javin Leonard, Dave Barnett and Todd Tomlinson, the band was heavily influenced by a variety of bands including Deadguy, Unbroken, Shotmaker, Unwound, Sunny Day Real Estate and Promise Ring.

Last Days of April

Their sophomore effort, Rainmaker, was released in both Europe (on Bad Taste) and Japan (on Straight Up Records), and the group toured with The Promise Ring and The Bufferins in Europe.

Lync

Lync's music is credited with influencing the sound of later acts such as Modest Mouse, Roadside Monument, and The Promise Ring.


The Get Up Kids discography

In their early years, they toured with such influential emo bands as Jimmy Eat World, The Promise Ring and Braid, later touring with such groups as Superchunk, The Anniversary and Hot Rod Circuit.

The Happy Bullets

2004 saw the release of The Happy Bullets first record, Blue Skies and Umbrellas and was quickly followed up in 2005 with The Vice and Virtue Ministry, engineered by Stuart Sikes (Modest Mouse, Cat Power, the Promise Ring) and released on the upstart Dallas indie label Undeniable Records.
