(They are not the original vocal group the Rosebuds who recorded for George Goldner's Gee Records in the 1950s.) Its current members are Ivan Howard (vocals/guitar/ drums/ bass/keyboards/programming) and Kelly Crisp (vocals/keyboard/drums/guitar/accordion).

The Rosebuds Unwind, an EP with six songs, was released in April 2005, followed by Birds Make Good Neighbors in September.

He was a member of the touring and recording bands of Other Lives, St. Vincent, John Vanderslice and The Rosebuds.
The Rosebuds won the PCHA championship, and came east to play the Montreal Canadiens for the Stanley Cup in the 1916 Stanley Cup World Series.
