In 1953 British Newfoundland Development Corporation (Brinco) was formed by the Rothschilds and six partners: two paper companies: Bowater and Anglo-Newfoundland; a manufacturer, English Electric; and mining concerns Rio Tinto, Anglo American and Frobisher.
It also had the status of correspondent with the Rothschilds of Paris and London, Samuel Montague& Company bankers of London and Osterreichische Creditanstalt And Banque Russe pour le Commerce Etranger in Paris.
Jordan published over 400 papers, many jointly with Charles and Walter Rothschild and described 2,575 new species himself, with an additional 851 in collaboration with the Rothschilds.
