This is the first of two albums (the second being the band's swan-song, Tripping Daisy (2000) to feature Ben Curtis on drums; he would later go on to form The Secret Machines and School of Seven Bells.

Originally from the Dallas, Texas area, Garza formed the Secret Machines with brothers Ben and Brandon Curtis, and EFG with guitarist and vocalist, Imaad Wasif.
