The band formed in 1976 in Cambridge, England as Dennis and the Experts comprising Robyn Hitchcock (guitar), Rob Lamb (half brother of radio host and author Charlie Gillett; guitar), Andy Metcalfe (bass), and Morris Windsor (drums).


Jewels for Sophia

Kimberley Rew, Hitchcock's erstwhile collaborator in The Soft Boys, also appears on two songs, the first time in nearly 20 years the pair had recorded together.

Tim Keegan

His first post-Ringo band was Homer, consisting of Keegan, Patrick Hannan (of The Sundays)Andy Metcalfe (of the Soft Boys and Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians), Jake Kyle and Andrew Claridge.
