In October 2006 and 2007 hosted the opening nights for the horror film fest The Spooky Movie Film Festival in Fairfax, Virginia.

Selections from the festival were later screened at Artomatic, a month long D.C. arts festival, as well as Horror At The Hager Summer Series in Hagerstown, Maryland.

In addition, the festival began with a video greeting to Count Gore from Steve Niles, creator of 30 Days of Night, who had autographed a poster from the movie to be given away on opening night.

The home base for the festival is Cinema Arts Theatres in Fairfax, Virginia, with additional screenings in Crystal City, Virginia, Wheaton, Maryland, Arlington, Virginia, Hagerstown, Maryland and mid-town D.C.

In 2006 and 2007 "Sarcofiguy" made appearances on the television program Monster Madhouse Live and in October of both years co-hosted "The Spooky Movie Film Festival" in Fairfax, Virginia with his friend, and childhood idol, "Count Gore de Vol", Washington-Baltimore's popular 1970s and 1980s horror host.

The Uh-Oh! Show

On 26 October 2009, Herschell premiered footage for The Uh! Oh! Show at the opening night of The Spooky Movie Film Festival at the AFI Silver Theatre outside of Washington, D.C., following the 45th anniversary screening of Two Thousand Maniacs!.
