Bridge Frodsham

He was encouraged by J. G. Cooper of Thurgarton, Nottinghamshire, once also a Westminster boy, to make acting his profession, and joined the company at York.

Thurgarton

He dedicated it to Saint Peter, and left God's favour to his heirs if they preserved it, but God's anger and curse if they did not.

Thurgaton is a lesser known place of pilgrimage for Christians wishing to pay respects to the mystical prelate, Walter Hilton.

The greater part of the remainder belongs to Richard Milward Esq.

Vacarius

Vacarius is last heard of in 1198, when he and the prior of Thurgarton were commissioned by Pope Innocent III to fulfill a letter referring to crusades.


Anchor Terrace

Among the original residents were the brewer John Hoy Waterman and Charles Spurrell (1783–1866), a member of the Spurrell family of Thurgarton, Norfolk, who, along with his brother, James Spurrell (1776–1840), was employed at the Anchor Brewery.

Horsham St Faith

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Manor House and the land that in 1939 became RAF Horsham St. Faith, was owned by John Thomas Spurrell, youngest son of Richard James Spurrell, of Thurgarton.
