In "A Great Man's Return", a song on their album Valdr Galga, the Swedish viking metal band Thyrfing refer to "Norve's starfilled sky".
The band played their first US show in January 2006 alongside Moonsorrow and Primordial at the Heathen Crusade metalfest in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.

2003 followed with further live-promotion, such as the Generation Armageddon Festivals (including Ancient Rites, Septic Flesh, Primordial, Blood Red Throne and Skyfire), a 12-day European tour throughout Europe, and performances on the main festival stages of 2000 Decibel in Sweden and Wacken Open Air in Germany.
"Over the Hills and Far Away" was covered by the Finnish symphonic power metal band Nightwish on their 2001 EP of the same title, and Swedish viking metal band Thyrfing on their album Urkraft.

He also fronts Twilight Of The Gods, a supergroup that includes drummer Nick Barker (ex-Cradle of Filth, ex-Dimmu Borgir, ex-Testament, ex-Exodus), guitarist Rune Eriksen (Aura Noir, ex-Mayhem), guitarist Patrik Lindgren (Thyrfing), and bassist Frode Glesnes (Einherjer).
