A Lover's Concerto

In subsequent years, "A Lover's Concerto" has been recorded by numerous other artists, including Cilla Black, Kelly Chen, the Delfonics, the Fleetwoods, Audrey Hall, Maleewan Jemina (th), Doyle Lawson, the Lennon Sisters, Mrs. Elva Miller, the Peanuts, the Pearls, Perrey and Kingsley, the Supremes, Carla Thomas, Tight Fit, Leslie Uggams, and Sarah Vaughan.

Barry Weiss

In 1981, Clive Calder of Zomba started his first U.S. record label Jive Records, which released British dance and pop music such as Q-Feel, A Flock of Seagulls and Tight Fit.

Tight Fit

In the 1980s he appeared in productions of On the Town and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and in the 1990s he appeared in productions of Kiss Me, Kate and Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London, where he was a part of the cast at various stages between 1992 and 1999, when the production closed.

Tim Friese-Greene

He produced a number of songs for the pure-pop act Tight Fit, the single "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in early 1982 (No.1 for three weeks in the UK charts) and its follow-up "Fantasy Island" (reached No.5), and also produced and wrote most of the accompanying album.

Ironically, while "Jij en ik" performed poorly at Eurovision and was forgotten immediately after, "Fantasie eiland", which had finished second in the Dutch national final, was picked up by British record producer Tim Friese-Greene, recorded in English (as "Fantasy Island") by the group Tight Fit, and became a top 5 hit in the UK and also a chart success in Ireland.
