In the finals of Melodifestivalen 2009, DJ Trexx performed a version of the song "Tingeling", which had been a recurring theme of several comical between-acts performed by the Grotesco team in that year's episodes of Melodifestivalen.
Tingeling is a group of songs created and performed by Henrik Dorsin, Michael Lindgren, Andreas Alfredsson Grube, Andreas Grill, Jorge Olivares Rivas and Grotesco which served as entertainment during the intermission of the Melodifestivalen 2009.
She has toured with Concerts Norway and played at several international jazz festivals in a duo with Anders Jormin as well as a member of groups including Bodega Band, TINGeLING, Søyr, Kvitretten, and Trondheim Voices.
The song "Tingaliin", the Russian version of "Tingeling" was released as a single and hit number one on Sverigetopplistan in March 2009.
"Tingaliin" was the last of the series of Tingeling songs performed at the intermissions of the Melodifestivalen 2009 in preparation to Eurovision Song Contest 2009 scheduled to be organized in Moscow.

The sketch was set in Moscow, where the characters Pål Potter, (performed by the actor Rikard Ulvshammar) and music director Rolf Pihlman, wearing a fur hat (performed by Henrik Dorsin) contact the Russian "Schlager mafia" and the Russian opera singer Olga Pratilova to get her to perform Tingeling, resulting in a stage appearance with a remix partly in Russian, called "Tingaliin (Russian Bass-Lovers Remix)".
"Tingalingaling" (also credited as Tingeling) is the thirteenth single by Dutch girl group Luv', released in the summer of 1981 by CNR/Carrere Records.
