Tōhoku-Fukushi-dai-mae Station

Kazuhiro Sasaki (retired baseball pitcher, and alumni of nearby Tohoku Fukushi University) served as the ceremonial station master for the opening day.

Tōhoku, Aomori

The economy of Tōhoku is heavily dependent on an agriculture, based primarily on production of nagaimo, daikon and carrots as well as lake fish, including smelt, icefish and shijimi.
