3 unusual facts about Tom Lord-Alge


Tom Lord-Alge

He is the youngest of Vivian Lord's five children, Mark Lord-Alge, Lisa Lord-Alge, Chris Lord-Alge, Jeff Lord-Alge and Tom Lord-Alge.

His older brother Chris Lord-Alge and the lesser known Jeff Lord-Alge are also audio engineers.

At that studio, he recorded and mixed Steve Winwood's "Back in the High Life" album featuring the single "Higher Love" The album won multiple Grammys in 1986 for Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male and the Grammy for Best Engineered Recording - Non-Classical, the latter awarded to Lord-Alge for his work on the album.


Alge Crumpler

Alge is named after his father's favorite book, Flowers for Algernon.

Nicola Charles

In 2001, Charles finished recording an album called Listening in Colour which was mixed by prominent sound engineer, Chris Lord-Alge.
