Established in June 2003 Conference of Bishops of Kazakhstan currently has five members, among them an Archbishop - Tomasz Peta, also the chairman of the episcopate, a titular archbishop, former bishop of Karaganda, Jan Paul Lenga, Bishop of the Diocese of the Holy Trinity in Almaty José Luís Mumbiela Sierra, and Auxiliary Bishop Athanasius Schneider of Karaganda.
