During D-Date's last performance of their 1st live tour in Tokyo Dome City Hall on June 29, 2012, it was announced that Tomo Yanagishita had joined the group as their newest member.
In his run of the series, Makita was able to work alongside fellow D-BOYS member Tomo Yanagishita.

In July 2006 Makita took part in Watanabe Entertainment's 3rd D-BOYS open audition, winning the second place, after Grand Prix winner Tomo Yanagishita, as well as De-View Magazine's Oricon Entertainment award.
In 2006, Tomo won the Watanabe Entertainment´s 3rd official D-BOYS audition with the Grand Prix and became an official member of the group.

During his run of the series, he got to work with fellow D-BOY members Tetsuya Makita, Koji Seto, and Masato Wada.
On September 9, 2007, Takki graduated alongside his fellow 3rd Generation Seigaku regulars (except for Kaidou Kaoru actor Yanagishita Tomo).
