Author David Gibbins has been tasked to write the aforementioned novel series.

The Creative Assembly hired Extra Credits to create a series of YouTube videos explaining the causes, battles, and military commanders during the Punic Wars.

The campaign map for Rome II spans from Bactria (Afghanistan) to Lusitania (Portugal) and from Caledonia (Scotland) to Garamantia (in the Sahara).
