The Cherry Bombz version is quite faithful to the original, but female vocals by Anita Chellemah (formerly of British New Wave act Toto Coelo, who did "I Eat Cannibals") and the high-energy guitar of Andy McCoy (formerly of Finnish glam band Hanoi Rocks) set it apart somewhat.
Mahadevan later changed her name to Anita Chellamah, and formed Cherry Bombz with several former members of Hanoi Rocks, including Andy McCoy.
