In 1996 she became well known after appearing in the BBC docu-soap Vet School, and the subsequent Vets in Practice.

Since the end of the series in 2002, she has appeared in a variety of British documentaries relating to animals, and presented the wildlife programmes Vets in the Wild and Britain's Worst Pets, as well as appearing on such programmes as Holiday and Through the Keyhole.
