Other segments of Cher...Special include guests Dolly Parton and Rod Stewart, cast as neighbors in an apartment building, performing their hit songs "Two Doors Down" (Parton) and "Hot Legs" (Stewart); Cher and Dolly having a conversation by reciting lyrics from pop songs; and Cher working by day in a boring secretarial job but dancing at night in the discos.
It was included on Parton's 1977 Here You Come Again album, but before Parton could release it as the album's second single in March 1978, singer Zella Lehr released a cover version that became a top ten U.S. country hit.
She had hit records on RCA Records and Columbia Records, most notably her cover of Dolly Parton's "Two Doors Down" (which charted for Lehr in late 1977, before Parton herself had released the song as a single).
