It then turns south onto Quarry Road near an interchange with U.S. Route 30, and travels west past industrial development on Boot Road.
This monument remains on the north side of U.S. Route 30 (Chambersburg Pike) at the intersection of Knoxlyn Road.

Much of what is now PA 183 was originally designated as part of Pennsylvania Route 83 in 1928, a route that ran from US 30/PA 1 in Devon northwest to US 120/PA 42 (now PA 61) near Schuylkill Haven.
The Pointe is unique in that it has an exit off one of Pittsburgh's busiest highways, I-376/US 22/US 30 (known locally as the Parkway West).
