While the quiet acclaim the album received from the rock media did not translate into huge album sales, it did enough to mark the band as one to watch, and also helped them make enough friends to get onto tours with Danzig, Unida and Nebula.
Garcia subsequently joined the equally short-lived band Unida, before becoming the vocalist with Hermano, which have since recorded three studio albums.

The most widely known and accepted story is that the La Raza Unida Party was established on January 17, 1970 at a meeting of 300 Mexican-Americans in Crystal City, Texas by José Ángel Gutiérrez and Mario Compean, who had also helped in the foundation of the Mexican American Youth Organization (MAYO) in 1967.
