In 1966, the company’s corporate name was changed to Uniroyal, and in the 1980s Uniroyal merged with B.F. Goodrich.
In 1892, he merged it with several other companies he had acquired to form the United States Rubber Company.
It was played just twice, in 1976 when it was called the Uniroyal International and won by Englishman Tommy Horton, and the following year, once the word "Championship" had been added to the name, and Seve Ballesteros of Spain was the victor.
One of Uniroyal's best known products is the Tiger Paw tire introduced in the 1960s and included as original equipment for that decade's muscle cars such as the Pontiac GTO, which itself was promoted as The Tiger during its early years.
