Born in Iraq, Rohan completed studies in petroleum geology at the University of Baghdad, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Geology) in 1970 and a Master of Science (Petroleum Geology) in 1975.
He established his own school in microbiology at Cairo University's Faculty of Science, and also taught at the University of Baghdad during the 1950s.
In October 1962, he went to Iraq to act as consultant to the President of the University of Baghdad, as part of a Ford Foundation project to develop the University’s libraries.
The team was founded as (Al-Jameaa) (الجامعة) on 17 December 1969 to represent the University of Baghdad and by special resolution from the Football Association decided that the team participates in the first division (second level) without going through second and third divisions.
He returned to Baghdad, Iraq when he was offered a position in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Baghdad.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering at the University of Baghdad in 1991.
While attending the University of Baghdad, he met the fellow architecture student later known as Salam Pax.
