He completed his B.A. (Hons.) in Music Studies (with First-Class Honours) read concurrently with a Diploma in Sacred Music - both majoring in Composition at the University of Malta.
In addition to the Universities of Cambridge and Queensland, Andresen has held teaching positions at the Architectural Association in London, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning UCLA, Bristol University School of Architecture and a guest lecturing position at The Royal University of Malta.
In 1968 the University moved out of Valletta to a new campus in Msida and a new medical school was opened on the grounds of the former St Luke's Hospital in Guardamangia (since moved to the new Mater Dei Hospital).

He was educated at the Government Primary School, Qala (from 1916 to 1922), the Gozo Seminary (from 1923 to 1927), St Aloysius' College Malta (from 1928 to 1930) and the University of Malta, where he graduated Bachelor of Arts in 1934, and Doctor of Laws in 1940.
Boissevain graduated for his PhD in 1962 at the London School of Economics and has subsequently taught at the Universities of Montreal, Sussex, Malta, New York (Stony Brook), Massachusetts (Amherst), Columbia University and the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.
Born in Sliema, Attard Montalto studied history and law at the University of Malta and he was also student representative on the University Senate.

Sir Themistocles (Temi) Zammit (or Żammit; 1864–1935) Sir Themistocles (Temi) Zammit (1864 – 1935) was a Maltese archaeologist and historian, professor of chemistry, medical doctor, researcher and writer, serving as Rector (1920–26) of the Royal University of Malta and first Director of the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.
He has edited and co-authored Malta at the European Court of Human Rights 1987-2012, with Patrick Cuignet and David A. Borg, with contributions by Prof. Kevin Aquilina (Dean of the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta), Judge Giovanni Bonello, and Dr. Therese Comodini Cachia.
