Kasturi states that he wrote about the early years of Sathya Sai Baba's life based on information gathered from Pedda-Venkapa Raju (Sai Baba's Father), Seshama Raju (Sai Baba's brother) and teachers from the schools in Bukkapatnam and Uravakonda, where Sathyanarayana Raju (Sai Baba) was a student.
