Robert Woodrow Levering (October 3, 1914 – August 11, 1989) was a U.S. Representative from Ohio, son-in-law of Usher L. Burdick and brother-in-law of Quentin N. Burdick.
The incumbent, Republican Senator Milton Young, sought and received re-election to his second term, defeating North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party candidate Quentin N. Burdick, son of North Dakota congressman Usher L. Burdick.
He was an unsuccessful Independent candidate for election in 1944 to the 79th Congress.
