VCE is an important stage for all year 11 and 12 students and Diamond Valley College guides them through the tough stage of study and preparation of examinations.
The school emphasises building character and provides for students to discuss the full range of opportunities and pathways before undertaking studies in VCE, VCAL or VET leading to university, vocational education or trade based apprenticeships and training.
The Somerville campus runs a year 7–10 programme with students progressing to Mount Erin Frankston to complete years 11 and 12 within the VCE or VCAL programs.
SDD is also a subject offered to senior high school students in Australia in university entrance exams such as the Higher School Certificate and the VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education).
This strategy is similar to the Select Entry Accelerated Learning one year early VCE plan, which enables students to become more prepared for VCE, hence gaining higher outcomes.

Since 2005 the anthology has been included in the VCE reading list, as an option for study by Year 11 and 12 English Students.
PSC has also offered an extensive range of VCE subjects as well as the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning programme in its time as a school.
The organisation participated in developing a new VCE physics study design.
