Besides the Italian National Anthem two choirs of Italian Opera singers sung Va, pensiero from Verdi during the flag hoisting procedure.
As national anthem, Lega Nord chose the Va, pensiero chorus from Giuseppe Verdi's Nabucco, in which the exiled Hebrew slaves lament for their lost homeland.
After working also for the newspaper Rinascita, Il Messaggero and Il Mattino (Beha later worked also for the right-winged L'Indipendente), in 1987 he began the host of TV show Va' pensiero, together with Communist journalist Andrea Barbato.
The lowering of the coffin into the ground was accompanied by the music of a traditional Góral funeral ensemble as well as two trumpeters who played the works Hejnal, Barka and "Va Pensiero" from the opera Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi.
