In December 2009, free of his financial troubles, the producer announced that the film would continue its shoot but it was held back by the director's involvement in other films, Maanja Velu, Vaada and Vallakottai, prompting further delays.
The film featured Sundar C. in the lead role, and finally released after several postponements on October 15, 2010.
