The Peugeot Type 2 is the first petrol/gasoline powered motor vehicle produced between 1890 and 1891 by the French auto-maker Peugeot at their Valentigney plant.
During the 19th century and into the early 20th century, many Montbeliardaise from Valentigney and neighboring areas emigrated to northwest Ohio, particularly Williams County.
In 1965, despite the pastor's opposition, he decided, with the help of his cousin, Jean Widemer, a pastor in Valentigney, to open a small meeting room in Thann, then in Mulhouse in 1966.
