He appeared in several TV dramas including Grange Hill, Enemy at the Door, Tales of the Unexpected, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (in a brief appearance as the adult Peter Pevensie) and Van der Valk.
Rees continued his career throughout the 1970s appearing in popular television shows, including Softly, Softly: Taskforce, The Sweeney and Van der Valk.
He has also worked in editing, mostly in sound editing and dubbing, for shows such as Quatermass, Van der Valk, The Sweeney and Sweeney 2.
After a successful amateur career, which included representing his country at the Eisenhower Trophy, van der Valk turned down several college offers to turn professional in 2002.
