Alwyn Myburgh (born 13 October 1980 in Vanderbijlpark) is a South African hurdler.
Oversea partners are the University of North Carolina, the North-West University in Vanderbijlpark, South Africa and the Polytechnic of Namibia in Windhoek.
Named after Hendrik van der Bijl, an electrical engineer and industrialist, Vanderbijlpark is home to Vanderbijlpark Steel (previously part of ISCOR (South African Iron and Steel Corporation), now part of the global company ArcelorMittal).
It was established in 1955 to house black residents who worked in Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging.
