Hristov began his career at Lokomotiv Sofia, but was released at the end of 2006–07 season, having never played a game for the senior squad.

Hristov continued his fine form by scoring the second goal in Beroe's 2–0 win over Slavia Sofia in the first round of 2013–14 A PFG season on 22 July.

On 1 August 2010, he made his debut in a 1–0 home loss against Lokomotiv Sofia.
