On 6 April 1644, Christian Albert married Countess Sophie Theodore of Brederode-Vianen (16 March 1620 in Vianen – 23 September 1678 in Halberstadt).
A chronic shortage of money forced him to sell the Dutch lordships of Vianen and Ameide in 1725, and to pledge Sternberg Castle to the Electorate of Brunswick-Lüneburg in 1733.

Reinoud II van Brederode (Santpoort, 1415 – Vianen, 16 October 1473) was lord of Vianen, Ameide, Lexmond, Hei- en Boeicop, Meerkerk, Tienhoven and Twaalfhoven.
Signa Vianen is one of the few locals who helped edit the original database for the 2005 Prisma Sranan Tongo dictionary, an overview of Sranan (the main dialect in Suriname) words and verbal expressions (first selection ever translated into Dutch ánd vice versa).
On 15 September 1666, Simon Henry married in The Hague with Baroness Amalia of Dohna-Vianen, Burgravine of Utrecht, heiress of Vianen and Ameide (2 February 1644 in The Hague – 11 March 1700), a daughter of General Christian Albert of Dohna.
