In 1993, Hoyts Media which owned the Triple M radio network in the eastern states had bought 5KKA but could not adopt the Triple M call-sign in Adelaide as a community radio station already had the call-sign 5MMM.
The Company, which began as a joint venture agreement between Priya Exhibitors Private Limited and Village Roadshow Limited in 1995 with 60:40 ratio, began its commercial operations in June 1997 with the launch of PVR Anupam in Saket, India's first multiplex.

MMPR Productions was shut down, and production of the show was transferred to Village Roadshow KP Productions in Auckland, New Zealand (now known as Ranger Productions).
UK attractions group Merlin Entertainments bought Sydney Wildlife World as part of its acquisition of Village Roadshow assets in March 2011.
