Was trained under Harry Wolf A.S.C. for A Little House On The Prairie, John Alonzo for Blue Thunder, John Alcott for The Beast Master, Vilmos Zsigmond for Table For Five, Owen Roizman for Tootsie, Gordon Willis for Broadway Danny Rose, and operated camera several times for Blue Thunder.
After teaching at various colleges and master classes around the world, Neyman teamed up with Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC a fellow European cinematographer to form a new school of cinematography, the Global Cinematography Institute in 2011 with the mission to educate cinematographers, and to preserve and extend the role of cinematographer as the major expert and contributor in the image building process in all current and future variations of the complex mix of artistry and technology.

He provided audio commentary (with director Richard Fleischer) for the Special Edition DVD of Tora! Tora! Tora!, and interviewed Oscar-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond for his audio commentary track for The Sadist.
After working on a couple of low budget movies with Vilmos Zsigmond such as The Sadist Joseph Miko left the industry and became a successful businessman in Santa Monica, California.
